Georgetown Fire Department Transports Injured Driver Following Crash

GEORGETOWN — Chief Fred Mitchell reports that the Georgetown Fire Department transported a man to the hospital who was injured in a crash Tuesday morning.

At approximately 8:35 a.m., Georgetown Fire responded to the intersection of East Main Street (Route 133) and Penn Brook Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck and a water delivery truck.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a male driver of the delivery truck who was injured. The man was transported by ambulance to Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the dump truck declined medical attention.
