The Georgetown Fire Department hosts public CPR/AED and First Aid classes for residents and community members from time to time. These classes cover CPR, Chocking, AED, as well as how to recognize and address Bleeding, Stroke, Heart Attack, Fainting, Diabetes, Seizures, and Opioid Overdoses in less than 2 hours. While this is not a certification course, it introduces the students to quickly recognize and react to emergencies needing lifesaving skills and get as many people trained in the community as possible.
