The town of Georgetown is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time firefighter. Applications must be received by 5:00PM on January 30, 2019. Please see attached job announcement for more details.
Burning Permit Activation is fixed
Our open burning activation page is now working correctly (Friday 1/18 11:12am). We recommend that you use our activation page on a daily basis to activate your burning permit. We thank you for your patience while we got it back up and running.
Burning Permit Activation
We are currently experiencing an issue with online burning permit activation. We are working with our vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you are looking to burn today (Friday, January 18th) and want to activate your permit, please contact the station at 978-352-5757 (until 12pm).

Georgetown Firefighters Enjoy Holiday Dinner
Chief Fred Mitchell, and the members of the Georgetown Fire Department would like to extend a huge thank you to Stephen Giamberadino of Conte and Giamberadino Funeral Home for the delicious holiday dinner they provided to the department on Wednesday, December 19th. The thoughtful gesture was truly appreciated by the membership.
Georgetown Fire Department Sends it’s Condolences to the Worcester Fire Department
The Georgetown Fire Department sends its condolences to the men and women of the Worcester Fire Department as they grieve the loss of one of their own today. Firefighter Christopher Roy died early this morning as a result of his injuries after becoming trapped while battling a five-alarm fire. Please keep the City of Worcester and the members of their fire department in your thoughts in prayers.
