Georgetown Fire Department Welcomes New Member

GEORGETOWN — Chief Matt McKay and the Georgetown Fire Department would like to welcome a new member, Firefighter/Paramedic Nolan Godfrey.

Firefighter/Paramedic Godfrey started in Georgetown on Monday, Oct. 9.

Godfrey has his Firefighter I and II certification and is a licensed paramedic in Massachusetts. He is also a certified Wildland Firefighter and a CTSI HazMat Technician, Fire Instructor and CPR Instructor.

Firefighter/Paramedic Godfrey is currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at Grand Canyon University. He has worked in hospital emergency departments as a paramedic since 2020 and is passionate about complimenting his EMS work with all aspects of patient care.

He previously worked for Portsmouth NH Fire Department and began his fire service career in California.

“I want to welcome Firefighter Godfrey to our department,” said Chief McKay. “Our department is comprised of determined and professional individuals who are passionate about the safety of our residents, and Godfrey will make an excellent addition to our team. I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes.”
