Georgetown Fire Department Newsletter November 2016

GEORGETOWN – Chief Fred A. Mitchell Jr. is pleased to share the Georgetown Fire Department’s operations report for the month of November.

Throughout the month, the Georgetown Fire Department responded to 156 incidents, including:

Fire: 4
Rescue and EMS: 50
Inspections: 34
Carbon monoxide incident: 1
Smoke detector/alarm system activation: 10

In November, Georgetown Fire participated in its monthly training programs and conducted both fire and commercial code inspections. Additionally, firefighters orchestrated fire safety education at Penn Brook School and participated in a Veteran’s Day ceremony. Projects for the month of December include finalizing a revised firefighter/EMT training program and planning the annual Santa Claus tour parade.
